Amanda: Regarding the Lost deaths...I know you can't reveal the victims, but should I buy Depends, or will a low-count box of tissues suffice? (I.e. How devastated and/or surprised will I be?)
Definitely splurge on the adult diapers. I'm wearing five right now just in anticipation of how totally and completely freaked out most of you fans will be. I know you've already heard that five die, but I can tell you it's not so much the number, but the who.

In the two-hour season finale, Lost viewers will definitely get some answers, with the help of Jack's (Matthew Fox) flashback, a changed Locke and a long-awaited showdown that will determine a significant outcome for the future of the castaways.
Question: Am I wrong to suspect that Jack will be one of the five Lost deaths you have been speaking of?— Brandon
Ausiello: Yes, you would be wrong to suspect that. Jack is not dying. And remember, I said there will be at least five deaths this month — four after tonight.
Question: Did we see the "game-changing" moment on last week's Lost when Naomi revealed that the outside world had found Flight 815 and that there were no survivors?— Louis
Ausiello: Take it away, Damon Lindelof: "Nope. Not yet. Trust us.... YOU. WILL. KNOW."

Someone asked if Jacket Spoiler: would "get busy" by the end of the season. He said, "No, but they'll be busy kicking ass."

podcast
- Locke will do anything if he is told he is special
- Richard may have been trying to subvert Ben when he gave Locke Sawyer's file, or he might really believe that Locke is special because he was instantly healed when he arrived on the island. They seem to be hinting that Locke's healing is very important to the Others and has caught the attention of many of them.
- They have been setting up the Cooper is the original Sawyer for a long time and were surprised that more people hadn't figured out this cross. they felt that this was the best time to reveal the cross as it will propel the story for the rest of the season
- The Man Behind the Curtain may be Ben (Carlton first said yes and then said maybe)
- The Man Behind the Curtain is a Wizard of Oz reference and is pointing to the question of who really is in charge of the Others.
- We will learn more about Jacob next week
Questions:
- Was Tom quoting Alvar Hanso in The Hunting Party, and do the Others therefor have a connection to the Hanso Foundation? Yes, it is similar to the Hanso quote. There will not be any more fake Hanso commercials this year.
- Why were Darlton so down on the April 30th podcast? Does it have to do with all the deaths coming up? Damon said it's a bit of a letdown to have finished the writing for the season. Now they are talking about Season 4 and are excited to see the remaining eppys this year.
- Why no monkeys on the island? Joop is an important monkey and he may make an appearance. Joop is the failsafe cancellation episode! LOL Joop is the name of the monkey in a Jules Verne story.
- Will LOST run Jan -May next year and has Carnivore been picked up yet? Carnivore is in development. Yes, they think the show will run Jan-May.
- Will there be podcasts during the hiatus? Carlton would like to do some. The writers take a vacation for a month post season finale. They will be at Comicon again this year.
- Does Chris enjoy his job and what is it like to watch Darlton without pants every week? He does.
- When LOST is canceled, will ABC give the writers enough time to end the show well? The show will not end badly, and Darlton are still trying to determine an end date with ABC.
- Is the Hurley Bird Smokey? Where in Hurley's past did we see the bird? We've seen the bird in finales past and we may see it again, but it has never appeared to Hurley before he got to the island.
- 3 things have to happen in each podcast: Carlton has to comment about his lack of pants, Damon always answers q's from Carlton with "that's an interesting question, Carlton", and then there is a 99% chance that a phone will ring. Is Chris's only job the podcast or does he have other work on LOST? He does other podcasts-Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy, but LOST is the only one with fan questions
Set for episode 320 : The Man Behind the Curtain
I run a lost board and one of my members lives in Hawaii. Well they sent out a casting call for babies and she had just had one and her baby was picked to be in next weeks episode. SHE plays baby Ben. Here are some pictures form the set and the one on the bottom is from a few days ago when she ran into Michael Emerson at the store and he took a picture with his younger self.
UPDATE: While we were filming episode 20 with Amanda, the first scene with her was to be how Ben came into this world. However there is an inconsistency that we noticed in the second scene that she was a part of.
Ben's parents made it out of the forest after his mother delivered him in the forest. However, because of the loss of blood, she is dying. When they get by the side of the road, Ben's father flags down a couple driving a Karmon Ghia for help. Off to the side of them was a road sign going in the opposite direction that said, "Portland 32".
Now...didn't Ben say he was born on the island?

ABC Set to annouce Lost end date !
2:00 p.m. update:
Since this story launched earlier today, I have been hearing from multiple sources inside ABC that the story is "more complex" than what was originally reported by my colleague Marc Malkin in E! Online's Planet Gossip.
According to these sources, ABC will be making an announcement declaring an end date for Lost very soon. However, the exact number of remaining episodes and seasons is still muddy—and might not be exactly two seasons.
The good news? You don't have to wait long. I'm told the announcement will be made within the next few days.
Original story, 9:52 a.m.:
My E! Online partner in crime Marc Malkin just announced in his column, Planet Gossip, that ABC is set to announce that Lost will end production after two more seasons.
I know. Breathe, Lost fans. Breathe.
Here's what I can tell you. I just spoke to insiders at ABC and they tell me the network and producers have reached a decision on an end date and they are expected to announce it very soon. This is meant to be a good thing, because now the producers finally can start mapping out the remaining episodes and rolling out some of the major reveals and answers we fans have been waiting for.
I'm also told there are more big changes in store for the show!
According to sources, ABC is planning to push back Lost's return date to January of next year in order to air new episodes back-to-back, and it is also "extremely likely" that Lost will change time slots next season.
Still, the biggest change may be that massive, mind-blowing, cast-related "game-changer" I keep hinting about—to which I am sworn to secrecy, for it is that big—which is revealed in the season finale. (I cannot wait for you to see it.)
Word is, Lost is moving to an earlier hour, which will make at least one fan happy: Josh Holloway's brother. "I do feel like we're in the wrong time slot," Josh told me during my recent trek to the set in Hawaii. "Most definitely too late, because I lost my own brother. He’s like, 'Dude, I got to get to work in the morning!' I’m just going to say it. Let’s move it back to 9 o’clock or 8 o’clock."
Let it be said that Josh Holloway and his brother have mad pull.
So, what do you all think of saying goodbye to
Lost in only two more seasons? And, more important, who needs a hug? 'Cause I could sure use one..
